			<description>You might want to check out Chronoscope, which has contained an abstract canvas API for almost two years and currently supports HTML canvas, java2d, flash, and android. There are also experimental vml, svg, and silverlight versions.</description>

			<description>That's right, a Java applet would be a good solution, but the only way to know if applets are enabled in IE is actually to create an applet and see if it's active. That's not undoable, but probably not an optimal solution... seems worth testing, anyway.&lt;br /&gt;</description>
